Poodles are regarded as gun dogs, for their bird hunting abilities and capability in water. Though some challenge the claim, France is officially recognised as the provenance of the Poodle. The Toy Poodle lives a median twelve to fifteen years.
Toy Poodles love to be around other people, but can be reserved among strangers, making them good watchdogs. This breed has plenty of energy, but doesn't demand lots of exercise, making it a good selection for house dwellers. One of the first dog breeds that I ever snapped was a small poodle. He would race round the studio checking on what everybody was doing. Every time we began to shoot he would startlingly come up with a limp and could barely walk. The breed is usually recognised as coming in 3 sizes, standard, tiny and toy. They are nevertheless subject to a bunch of genetic healt h issues. There are likeness of Poodle-like dogs on Roman coins and Egyptian carvings. There are references to Poodles as far in the past as the fifteenth century in France, Holland and Italy. The 1st reference to Poodles being good swimmers was in 1642 ( the Poodle was initially bread as a water retriever ). The cut helped protect imperative joints and organs in the cold water.
