Coaching Your Standard Poodle Using Confidence and Respect - Standard Poodles Are Fun to Train.

After your dog has come to trust and respect you, it is fantastic how fast the coaching will progress. Many new dog owners expect love and warm feelings to help in coaching their pet. Poodles are regarded as gun dogs, for their bird hunting talents and capability in water. Though some fight the claim, France is officially recognized as the origin of the Poodle. To be considered a Toy Poodle, its size can only be up to ten inches with a weight of six to nine pounds. Without consistent coaching, Toy Poodles will become willful, independent and may bark a lot. Because of this, it is vital to socialise a Toy Poodle early and to exercise caution around tiny children. This doesn't mean a Toy Poodle doesn't make a good family pet. Toy Poodles have a tendency to be steadfast to their families and some are good with kids. This breed has a large amount of energy, but doesn't demand plenty of exercise, making it a sensible choice for studio dwellers.

The familiar curled coat of the Toy Poodle grows consistently and must be clipped every 4 to 6 weeks to maintain it. The cut helped protect critical joints and organs in the cold water. There are health issues that exist with this breed. This will help win their confidence and trust, but it won't make sure they knows who their leader is and it won't change their behaviour. So, you aren't helping your lovable, lovable puppy by letting him have his way.
