To be considered a Toy Poodle, its size can only be up to 10 inches with a weight of six to nine pounds. Toy Poodles like to be around others, but can be reserved among strangers, making them good watchdogs. Some Toy Poodles are thought to be high strung and will snap.
This doesn't mean a Toy Poodle does not make a good family pet.
Toy Poodles incline to be devoted to their families and some are good with youngsters. One of the first dog breeds that I ever snapped was a tiny poodle.
